What is Sleep Apnea?

This condition is actually a serious sign of ill-health and includes a night of interrrupted sleep patterns. You go to sleep but awake regularly as your breathing stops and starts. If you snore a lot or awake in the morning feeling exhausted, you may have sleep apnea and should get it checked out. Often, sleep apnea affects men in their forties who are overweight and eat an unhealthy diet, drinking alcochol and smoking.

There are 3 Kinds of Sleep Apnea:

  • Obstructive sleep apnea – your throat muscles relax when you sleep and you sort of choke and wake up intermittently during the night as you lack sufficient air
  • Central sleep apnea – you don’t get enough oxygen to breathe at night as the muscles that control your breathing are not getting the correct messages from your brain
  • Complex sleep apnea – a combination of the first two conditions

If you can say “I have sleep apnea” then we can say you should try cannabis oil. This can develop into a serious condition where you also get high blood pressure and heart issues. When you have sudden decreases in blood oxygen levels when you are sleeping, your blood pressure rises and you put strain on your heart. There is also risk of having a stroke or a heart attack in your sleep and even dying from that. Studies show that sleep apnea can result in diseases of the veins and arteries or risk of heart palpitations.

If You Have Sleep Apnea, Try Cannabis Oil

Taking cannabis oil for sleep apnea can only help as this is an alternative medicine from the cannabis plant. Cannabis is made up of various cannabinoids which exhibit health benefits for common and chronic illnesses. The two main cannbinoids, cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) are known pain killers, anti-inflammatories, anti-anxiety and insomnia panaceas. Studies on rats showed that THC  interacted with endocannabinoids to block sleep apnea caused by too much seratonin. THC is also great for people suffering insomnia or patients with terminal illnesses who cannot sleep.  Scientists found that seratonin acts in the peripheral nervous system, aggravating sleep apnea. The outcome was that THC can sustain unconsciously balanced sleep during the night.

CBD, on the other hand, is a general tonic which improves sleep patterns and difficulties with quality sleep patterns.  Taking CBD will enhance sleep and ensure proper rest, not a broken up night of irregular sleep.
